Default 06 e320 CDI loud intermitten noise(accelerating)

Hello all,
I have checked this forum and online and I have not found anything like this. I have an 06 mercedes e320 cdi. It has 414k but runs very good however I am having a noise during acceleration. It is intermitten but usually happens during low speeds during slow acceleration. When I give it quicker acceleration it goes away. I would describe the sound as a hole in a muffler or the sound of those nopi type cars with the loud mufflers yet not that loud, or maybe like a loud vibration. The engine sound perfect and this does not happen in park even if I rev the engine. The engine does not shake or make any noises, this sound seems to come from under the car in the front. I just purchased this car a couple of weeks ago but this is not normal. There is no noise during hwy driving. Does anyone have any ideas? Any help is greatly appreciated. I am excited about having this awesome car and joining this forum

Just as an update,
I put it in drive with the E brake on and had a helper give it some gas. The noise is a vibration coming from the transmission fluid pan. So maybe that will give more insight for those in the know with these cars. I am a diy'er with medium + skill level. It is due for a trans service so hoping maybe a service will help, perhaps replacing the conductor plate while I'm at it? Any thoughts?
Thanks
