04' E320 COMAND Unit Identification
Can someone please help me identify what type of unit I have installed in my E320. The E320 is my first MB so I am new to MB and the MB family. I bought a pre-owned car and it did not come with a COMAND manual so I don't know its capabilities. When I push the NAV button it reads Navigation Device Unavailable. So I'm assuming I don't have a GPS unit or device. Where can I find the hardware for the GPS to check if I have one? If I get a navigation cd can I install the software and my NAV will start working? Also do I get a CD or DVD? a lot of questions, I know but I'm totally in the dark about this. PLEASE Help.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

RE: 04' E320 COMAND Unit Identification
Hi!
If you have a Saloon you will find the Navigation Device in the rear/trunk on the left hand side. Just press the buttom on top of the cover, and u will find it.
If you have a new Map-discyou might update the comand software. But the navigation system should be active even without a the Map-disc, and since you have this error message it can be a bad connection or an error whit the Device itself. If you dont get help on this forum, i can recommend www.mbclub.co.uk - there im possitive you will find your answer - look up the forum "electronics", search for "Comand" or post your own tread.
Enjoy your new car, its a fantastic car (i know, i have the same :-) )
(hope you understand what im writing, my english isnt that good)
