Hey guys,
I need help again for my brother's E500. The car has now 120k on it. The problem is when i am going slow, like crusing, then on a up hill very slight uphill i give it gas just a bit and you feel a little rumble and shaking then once it gets the speed it goes away. This can happen at any speed. 20mph, 40mph, 50-60-70-80. There is no lights on the dash. Also it looks like it is like slipping or something cause when I press the gas a bit the revs go up about 2 clicks (400 rpms then it shakes a bit) then it goes back down while accelarating like normal.
What do you guys think it can be? Can it be just an tranny oil change to make it better? can it be the driveshaft u joint that goes to the back of the car or the front one where the shaft goes in.
I dont know if the radiator is that bad one that the dealer had to be replaced under the recall. I looked under the car and it was not the one. And i havent lost any coolant since i have owned the car for years.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys!

No the AT fluid was never replaced. I dont think that MB says to replace the tranny oil? the correct level? where do i check that? if its like the engine oil, doesnt the comp tell me if its low?
I have to check up on the center support bearing on driveshaft? Is there anyway that I can find out which one I have?

Your tranny fluid is not a lifetime fill, it needs to be replaced, even if it is synthetic. you have to purchase dipstick and remove the plastic lock on cap of the filling/dipstick tube. Mercedes realized their mistake and newer cars returned back to dipstick and periodic A/T fluid level check because of number of broken transmissions. There is no electronic level sensor in your tranny as you have in your engine, this needs to be checed manually and visually only! I would suggest you to go to your local liberary, log onto aldata through their computer with online databases and that will give you more then enough informations for your car's engine, transmission, service, recalls and buletins.
You could have your car scaned for trouble codes and aldata will tell you what it means and what to do.
