Default CLS Road Noise

Hi
Can anyone help me I just bought a new CLS 320 CDI.
I have found while driving on the motorway at around 60MPH there is a lot of road noise.
The wheels are 18" 245mm 40mm and the tyres are Michelin Pilot Sport MO.
Has anyone else had the same problem.
I have checked car reviews and forums but there is no mention of any issues with road noise.
Apart from the road noise the car is awesome. Handles like a dream and the power is imense.
You can hardly hear the engine when you pull away.
Regards Assad

I dont get any bad road noise with mine really. I used to have a CLK with Michelin sports on and it was a lot more noisy. It may be the road but if you get it on all roads then the tyres may have something to do with it. May be worth trying a different set when they all wear down.

Hi it was the tyres.
Merc changed them for Dunlop's instead and there is a big differance.
Also as they did not no have another CLS with the same size wheels to swap with, they upgraded my wheels from 18" 245 40 alround to 18" 245 40 fronts and 18" 275 35 rears.
Regards
