I am looking for a used CLS, and one problem is that a lot of them dont have the AMG sport package on it. The only difference is the front bumper, the side skirts, the reat bumper, AMG wheels, and the mufflers right?
Any idea how much that will cost?
Is it possible to do this after the fact to a CLS that does not have the sport package? Is there a stiffer suspension or anything else that I am not thinking of?

The Sport package is a $5,000 option that I don't think is worth the money. You get AMG Wheels (which I do admit are nice), Sport Steering Wheel with paddle shifters, and Sport Body Styling. For the Sport Body Styling you get a more aggressive lower front bumper, straight cut lower side rails and a slightly different exhaust surround with smaller diameter exhaust pipes.
You really have to look hard to notice these changes. I think you can get the biggest AMG look for just a little money by changing the front grill to an AMG 3-bar grill (or go for the SL style 1-bar grill) at 55tech (http://www.55tech.com). It's just a straight bolt on replacement for the stock 4 Bar Grill on the '05-'09 CLS500/550. If you like it, buy it on eBay for about $200 including shipping. Note that the Sport Package does not change the CLS550 main grill, just the front bumper and lower grill.
Another great mod is a rear lip spoiler. I got mine at (http://www.directsalesanddesign.com). They have the 1-piece AMG style for $249 or the Brabus 3-piece style for $449. Those prices are for painted versions. Unpainted is $100 less. I got the Brabus style for my Capri Blue '07 CLS550. The color match was perfect and the fit and quality was terrific. Installation was also easy.
Finally, I added a Racemesh ElectroPolished Stainless Steel wire mesh grill for the front lower grill for $194 (http://www.racemeshgrilles.com).
So for under $1,000 you get what I think is a better look than the Sport Package and something kind of unique.
