W08 Instrument panel question (re: battery drain)
Greetings to all
Could someone with either a W08 model 320 or 430 tell me if their instrument panel stays operational after removing the key?
Today I found that my '03 clk 430 wouldn't start, although it would if I jumped it from another vehicle. After turning the ignition off, I still get the odometer, temerature and time display, and I cannot remember if this was always the case or not. I thought those numbers were "off" when the key was removed, and I wonder if this is what has created my drained battery.
I didi have an incident several weeks ago where the radio stayed on after I removed the key, but it stopped doing that the next time we drove it.
Thanks

the car doesn't go to sleep mode.
one component using CAN is defective.
it sends wake up signal all the time, which drains the battery.
that component need to replace.
