Timeport Help?
Hi All --

This is a bit embarrassing -- I have a 2001 CLK430 and the phone was doused in pineapple juice (don't ask ). It shorted out the battery so I replaced that, but the phone now only works when plugged into the car -- by itself the phone kind of works but the keys stick (big surprise) and the speaker is a little off.

Does anybody here have any resources for cell phone repair -- I would like to avoid spending another $700 for another phone if possible.

Thanks for your help!

Unfortunately, the Mercedes Benz Timeports have a chip or something that makes them unique to the Mercedes CLK-class cars...

I've read on the Internet that a generic Timeport will NOT work with a Mercedes Car by simply plugging it in.

Check this out, I found out this person is selling Timeport for Mercedes. ps. I am not the seller
