Default Resetting Moonroof

I have a 1999 CLK430 and the moonroof is not working properly. When I open it, it hesitates (opening a little and then stopping) and when I attempt to close it, it does not close all the way. I have to keep hitting the close button and holding it down before it will close. I was told that I have to reset it, but I don't know how. Can someone help me, please? Thank you.

Default RE: Resetting Moonroof

i have that problem all of the time on my 2002 430....so frustrating. they can't ever find anything wrong. i have to keep playing with it until you get it to the position where the back end is up. then hold the button up (as if you were still trying to raise just the back part) for 5 seconds. that will reset it.

Thanks for the help. I will try this when I get home from work. I am always afraid to open the moonroof though because I am afraid that I won't be able to close it. =) My windows act up all the time too, but I figured out how to reset those. It is VERY frustrating.. Thanks again.
