Default reduce oil light

The reduce oill light has been recently coming on in my clk 500. I have not had any oil changes or engine work done. Why would I all of the sudden have to much oil or is this a computer malfunction? It seems to only happen on cool nights.

I have also been experiencing the "Reduce oil level" light after recently changing my oil. The oil level has been reduced twice by my mechanic and we now feel that it is at the appropriate level but it came on again. It resets and does not come back on with any predictability. When I check the oil level using the computer it is reading fine. Bad sensor? Over filled crankcase can cause over pressurized seals...go to dealer for a quick reading.
