anyone know anything about modifying a stock clk 500 exhaust system from a single stock exhaust with single pipe to a 4- exhaust system with 4 pipe? thanks a lot.

 

Yes it's been done but it's a lot of work. It involves cutting and retrofitting the spare tire tub. In order to make this work you will need to cut and take out the existing spare tire tub and replace it with the one from the C55s. The parts number forthe CLK and Cwill be the same becausebothshare the same chasis. Also you will then need to buy the pipes, heatshield, brackets, and muffler for it to work.

This would be more of a cosmetic mod than a performance mod as the gains are not very large from doing so.

Take a look through the CLK section in the mbworld forum. There are a couple of member that have done so recently but it took a long time a tons of elbow grease.
