Default No heat - EC light on

Well, I just completed fising one problem and now it appears I have another. It is below zero this week, and the heat in my CLK 320 is barely warm. I noticed in an earlier post that the EC light lit indicates a problem, but looks more like AC related. Could this EC light also be linked to a heater issue?

Default RE: No heat - EC light on

EC light means "economy"....It turns off the A/C compressor...... If you cant turn off the light, then that means the system prabably isnt charged properly.....It turns off the compressor to keep it from being damaged......It also might be a bad evap temp sensor....If the sensor is faulty, it usually thinks the evap is too hot.....Which means it will keep it from getting hotter by turning off heat...
