Default New owner...have a question

Just bought our very first Mercedes, a 2007 CLK 350 Cabriolet. Unfortunately the owners manual did not come with it. Is there any place I can get one without paying for a download (saw this online)? Also we are thinking of purchasing a windscreen from ebay. Will this really help or should we skip it?
Thanks.

Hi Carolyn,
I just recently bought an '07 cabriolet too, and I was able to register on mbusa.com where I downloaded the manual (even though mine came with one). I would offer to email it to you but it's 37 MB!

If mbusa.com says your car is already registered to another owner, just contact customer service and they can straighten it out.

Carib,

Congrats on your new purchase! That must be pretty exciting!

Since you already have the manual issue cleared up, here's some word of advice:
  1. Yes, windscreens are fantastic. You won't know what you ever did without it in my opinion. That's how it was for me.
  2. eBay is a great place, but another good thing to look at is the average review on the windscreen. There are windscreens ranging from $50 to $600, and when it comes down to it, preference and quality are what count. A great resource as you look is windscreenreview.net and the eBay seller's rating. With those two tools, you'll find what you like.
Good luck and happy shopping!

Default Sunscreens

What is the best screen on the market for my CLK430 Convertible?

Oh gosh, if you're going to ask directly:

I PERSONALLY bought a Windblox lexan windscreen because I heard they were really good. They also provided a 3 year warranty with their product and a 30 day return period, so I knew they could back up their product. Having used both mesh and lexan, I found lexan is way nicer (easier to see out of) and is much durable. So yeah, that's why I think they are number 1--they deliver quality and they only cost me $150 with all the trimmings. That's a far cry from the $400 many companies are charging. That's just ridiculous.
