mikbox
I just put one in my 01 ML 430 2 weeks ago to replace the old Timeport that was in there. Simple install. Mikbox goes in-between the current cable and the PSE unit where it connects to the PSE, and get the new cradle to replace the old one with the antenna connector and rj45 connector already built into the cable. Took me about 30 minutes for the install including the time it took to remove the console bucket and mount the new cradle. You dont have to do anything to your car, just plug in the box and cradle, insert phone, and it works like your old one did. Seamless. (and no I have no connection to Mikbox, just a happy v635 user) You do have to have had a phone already in the car though for the mikbox to work. I don't know if he also sells PSE's if you didn't already have one.
thanks for the input. i have motorolla phone that is not yet supported by mikbox. i e-mailed them to see if i could be a tester, but they didn't seem interested.
does anyone else have any experience with mikbox? i would be so happy if i could use my phone in the car. does the equipment take up a lot of space? what tools are needed for the install?
