just bought a 99 plate 230 clk convertible. its only done 33k and has hardly done any miles in the last couple of years. when i bought the car it had a missfire on tickover and under acceleration spluttered and missed terribly.
i had a full service done on the car, including plugs and leads, but the problem continued. a computer diagnostic check revealed the air flow meter was "knackered". this was subsequently replaced and the car accelerates as it should, BUT there is still a slight missfire at tickover (nowhere near as bad as before, but its still there).
does anybody have any ideas?

You are using high octane GAS??? I just had a friend use 87 on her E 320 and she had 1200.00 in damage.
