Default Which CLK for me?

Hi guys,

I'm 21 years old living in the UK and considering a CLK. Due to my budget i can rule out the CLK55 AMG already, and also the 430 idue to insurance.

This leaves me with:

CLK200 (137bhp)
CLK200K (163bhp)
CLK230K (197bhp)
CLK320 (218bhp)

So which would u recommend? Its gotta give good fuel economy on motorway journeys and also reasonably good round town too, but also i dont want a slouch!

Any recommendations would be great

Cheers!

All of these gets good gas mileage. Go with one of those with the kompressor. I would go with the CLK230k. It ain't no CLK55 but you shouldn't be eating everybody's dust.

I own a CLK320, so it's the only one i can advise you about...
Looking for fuel economy???.... Look somewhere else....forget the 320.... 13 liters per 100 Km, nomal road and a little town circuit... If i get it on the motorway and let it roll (a little over the speed limits, but only a little), it can go up to 15 litres...
In theory, you should go for one with a K at the end, not necessarily the 230K (the power diference is not worth it, in my opinion).
If economy is a main issue, you should also have a look on the Diesel models... Acceleration might not be so good, but the power ranges are not that different.

CLK 320. It has more room and more power. You might be spending a few more dollars at the pump...it's worth it.

I can only comment on my car - 320 is certainly no worse than my 1800 cc vectra company car - effortless drive and i guess better engine life than K engines. try test driving a 320 and a K engine . I did and it was why i bought the 320.

I have a 430, honesty though, if you're worried about gas mileage, these arent the type of cars you should be looking at.. forget gas mileage, wait till you discover how nice and fragile low profile rims are and more so , how much they cost to replace when you bent one and have to replace one ...and trustme you will....also, how tires usually last about 20 - 30k miles.. gas is the least of your prob trust me...buy one of these cars if you like to dust people when yo get on a highway or want to pull up to a nice restaurant or club..if gas mileage is that important, you will be disappointed

why not get a CLK350? You should have those in Europe.

Gas mileage is not bad at all. I switched over from an Acura TL and I'm getting much nicer MPG numbers with the CLK, than I did with a TL (even though TL had less HP)

With a CLK you'll get comments everywhere you go. I've had mine for 3 weeks, and I get commented on it daily
