I'm new to the forum, having bought my 1st MB two weeks ago. I have a 2001 CLK 430 Cab, and I love the you know what out of it.

I just upgraded my grille to the newer style with the large center star, and changed the hood ornament to the flat style. It really looks good. The grille I bought from e-bay, and it is not exactly like the upgrade you can buy from the dealer in that it does not have any chrome on it, but is all black. Only the center star is chrome. It really looks good on my white car, and, in my opinion, modernizes the front of car just a little bit. It was a really easy mod, only took me about 1/2 hr. to change the grille and hood ornament, and it only took that long because I cleaned and waxed all of the hidden areas which were visable after the grille was removed.

I've tried to upload before and after pictures, but have not been successful. If I can figure out how to do it I will.

Unique & Distinctive; I like it! Makes your car a candidate for the chrome headlamp rings, I think.

 

Looks good but i am a fan of the older stand-up style hood orniment but every one has different tastes and thats what makes the world great. However if they just offered a black grill for it that would be really cool cause with the white and the black top does go well with the black grill. Though i have always like the CLK well the 208s anyway.

Where did you get the grill that you put on your CLK? Do you have a web address for hte company? I have been looking EVERY where for one like that. I have a 2000 CLK Coupe that I would love to add one like that too.
