I have a automatic and it won't go into gear. it start and everything else work

 

check the break switch i have an 2002 clk 430 and some times it would not go into park and that fxed my prolblem

 

your electronicshift box needs to be replaced. Right behind the shift gate there should be a little hole where you can stick a bic pen inside. push down and you should be able to shift but you will need to do this everytime until you replaced the shift box , about 1K, it happnedto my E430 very common
