Hi,
I have just purchased an automatic 98 Clk 200. I have since noticed that the gearing is very jumpy and when I try to use "kick down" it does not want to engage in gear and revs at about 4000 with no pull, this is only when I put my foot to the floor. However when changing down1 gear for soft acceleration it is ok. I have also noticed a knocking noise twice now when trying to use kick down.
The general performance of the car is running quite sluggish with little power.
Please can someone help as I have no idea.
