Default Changed battery now car won't start - CLK320

Wife's 03 clk 320 battery died a couple days ago. Someone jumped it for her and she made it home. MB roadside assistance came to the house and put in a new battery. When he tried to start the car, nothing. The lights came on but when he turned the key nothing. He said we have to get it towed to the dealer in order for them to figure out what is wrong. It started fine before the battery was changed. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Default

Hi there, did you get any joy with your post you put up. I think I might have a similar problem. Just drove 25 miles, stopped the car, went to restart and nothing. Lights, radio, dash lights all work but engine won't turn over. Just wondered how you got on.

Default Car Wouldn't Start

Hello, Well I went down the road of putting in a new battery and still had the starting problem. Then my brother suggested the starter relay under the bonnet. Took the cover plate off and removed the starter relay connector, cleaned the pins off a bit and so far so good. Car started ever since..... Good news, also found out that a new relay is about a tenner and the box it connects to is around 90 pounds so not the end of my world as I thought it might be....
