Default cabrio roof problem

Hi all,
Is their a common reason why the front section of the hood will not stay up in the 20 degree position when you start to open the hood? The hood operates correctly in all other respects, but you have to keep the front section tipped up a bit by hand when starting to open the roof otherwise the ram cannot begin to fold the hood down. It seems like a stretched cable, or is the rear ram not holding the frame tight as when operated initially the front hood hinged section stays up,then as the rear section unlocks itself from the compartment cover the whole hood tips forward a bit and the front section falls back down from where the ram cannot start to fold it up ,unless you keep the section hinged up a bit by pushing up with your hand?

Thanks for your help Cj

yup streached cables..two of them....there is also a very small adjustment that can be made to the cables to tighten them. but usually youll find one of them broken. if you want further details you can PM me and maybe we could talk via phone.
