Default Bi Xenon Headlights on Clk 200 (W209)

Hi guys,
I am new to this forum and am currently waiting for the delivery of my CLK 200 Coupe. (Singapore)

The car does not come with Bi-Xenon headlamps and according to my dealer, i have to pay SGD$5,400 just to fix on the headlamps. But i checked with a modification company outside for Benz, they are charging me SGD$3,700 for it.

Btw, im new to Mercedes Benz and i really have no idea what the charges are. Would really appreciate it if you guys could give me some input on this.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum!

Purchasing new and original MB bi xenons for your W209 CLK IS expensive, especially if you get them directly from your local MB dealership. But the price sounds about right - for a new and original MB set at the dealer, that is. Does it include installation as well?

Do you have a LHD or RHD car?

If you have a LHD (Left Hand Drive) car, you may be able to purchase a set from MBenzNL...

greetingz,

BigSis

Hi BigSis, thanks for the input.

Yes, the price is with installation and its a RHD car.

Btw, in Singapore, if i install xenons, the authorities will only approve those with auto levelling. If i am not wrong, retrofitting aftermarket xenons does not have the auto levelling function. Correct me if i'm wrong pls.

Thanks

You are right. If you have factory fitted halogens and retrofit (bi) xenons, you won't get the auto level system - unless you retrofit those parts needed for auto leveling as well.

I am not sure, but I believe the auto level system retrofit requires running wiring throughout the car - and THAT will make it an expensive mod!

greetingz,

BigSis
