Auto gearstick stuck in PARK!! HELP!!

Please help. Everything in car works fine, but the auto gearshift is stuck in park. cannot move car! aaaaaaaaarrrghh!

don't panic.

use something long and thin to bypass the lock.

try pushing hard on the brake too.

How do you mean? bypass the lock on the gearshift? You mean the little strip keeping it in park?? Do i have to go under it? push/pull?

not under the car...just approximately about 1 foot away at 45 degrees angle from your **** towards front if you are sitting on the driver's seat.
