Default ABS Pump problem

I have a 1999 CLK Convertible and the ABS pump has failed p/n 0044316612. Are these parts specially programmed for particular cars? I'm having a hard time locating one with the exact p/n. I called a shop that I have bought parts from and they have several 1999 CLKs but the p/n does not match mine. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

This part is not a programmable part, to my knowledge. Though it is specific for your vehicle's make and model.

The reason is because Mercedes-Benz has discontinued 004 431 66 12. They don't even make the remanufactured ones anymore, which is 004 431 66 12 80. If you've got a shop that says they have an ABS pump that fits your year, make, model, then take it if you trust them. (Why you would bring your car to a mechanic you don't trust, I've no idea) Or if you feel like doing the research, You can try to find a replacement number / part. My system does not show any replacement numbers, but that does not mean it doesn't exist.

You could try RockAuto.com, or similar Parts websites. They may not have a MB branded pump but they'll have something. (And it'll probably be cheaper, the OEM ABS Pump was $1140.00) Hope this helps.
Lastly, IDK what mechanic you use, but go off this standard: my dealership charges $175/Hour.
