Does anyone know the belt diagram routing for a 99 clk 320. Mine belt broke and I can't seem to get the belt routed correctly I have 4 inches extra. The new belt is the same length as the broken one.

 

Layout of Poly-V-belt (flat-belt) drive is in your owner's manual and it should be same as on my '99 ML320. Full wrap around main crankshaft pulley to outside A/C compressor to outside power steering pump to outside upper iddler pulley to full wrap around alternator then comming up flat (outside) part of the belt over (on the top) of coolant pump/fan pulley then finally flat (outside) part of the belt will make full wrap around outside of belt tensioner pulley. Hope you understand what I'm saying, I know it's hard without seeing the picture but it is actually wery easy to install with flat (outside of the belt) riding only on the top of water pump and around tensioner pulley. hope this helps.
