Hello, all!

First off, yes I am new to the forum. I don't own a Mercedes, but I have a question for the lot of you. I'm sorry if there's a thread I should've found through searching, but I have a number of questions that I was hoping a couple of you could answer.

I work in a mobile electronics and car audio specialties shop, and I have a customer with an '08CLK 63 AMG Black Series. We're manufacturing two custom subwoofer boxes for this car to go in the place of the rear seats.

The customer wants the boxes to be finished in CARBON FIBER - exactly the same type of carbon fiber used on the rear wing, rear diffuser and dash trim. Does anyone know where I might go about getting my hands on some of this so that I can match the boxes?

Also, I've never performed an installation on one of these cars before. Can anyone confirm whether or not the car is wired with fiber optics? Thanks.

 

yes it has fiber optics. just use good quality carbon fiber, if you know how to lay it then it will look fine. goodluck.

 

yes beware off the fiber optics! most late model mercedes have them i think...my sister's 01 c class even had them
