2006 CLK500 Convertible newbie with questions
Well, we bought a certified Merc about 4 weeks ago. We have driven it on one trip and it is an amazing car. Were we actually very suprised at the mileage... 25.1mpg not bad for running 80-85mph down the highway. But then again we did not buy it for the mileage. I have noticed a few "issues" with it that are bothering me.
The AC/ Heater Fan. When it is on high it is louder than if the top is down. Very annoying. When we purchased the dealer said it was normal, but I really did not think much about it until we spent some time int he car. Is this something else has had issues with or is it normal?
Second thing is the Steering pump, do they all whine. This one is a little louder then the Ford pumps I have had issue with in the past. I have looked around and there are a few things here and there but no good info for me.
I would appreciate any help or advise you could provide. I will be taking it in for its first service since we biought it in about 3 weeks. I want to make sure I am informed when I walk in the door.
Agai we are absolutely loving the car. Looks are incredible and it drives awesome. We are grateful for the 2 1/2 years of warranty that are left though, just in case.
