The driver's side window funtion is failing on my 2004 CLK500. When the driver's door is opened, front window drops slightly as it should, the back window does not. When the driver's door is closed, the window does not close. Also, the "one touch" window close is not fuctioning. Is this a switch, relay, sensor or other malfunction?

The passenger side functions correctly.

 

Sometimes MB window switches "forget" what to do unless they are re-programmed. This is an easy proceedure that just requires the activation of the window switch at it's user site and continuing to hold the switch down for a few seconds after the window has been lowered. Then raise the window and again hold the switch up for a few seconds. It will now be reprogrammed. This is a common problem after the battery has failed or has been disconnected and must be done to all the windows. Is the power top functioning properly? Or is it misbehaving? Does the window retract when the top is activated but does not function properly otherwise? Read the owners manual...it's buried in there somewhere. Regards, Bob
