Got a question for you guys. Looking at the 2004 CLK 500 coupe.</P>


What are the pro's and con's of this car? Any info at all would be appreciated.</P>


The car is Black opel, cd, sunroof, heated seats, no light package...interested in info on car in general</P>

I've had mine for 3+ weeks after having my '04 E320 'bought back' after one weekwith the seemingly common Transmission design problem. I've yet to log 1k mis to breakin so I haven't gotten into it big time yet. I can say this is an incredible engine and the transmission (other than the E Class at present) is typical Mercedes top drawer. The handling is quite good in the grand touring sense, but not up to my '03 Audi 3.0 Quattro. SportsCar has an interesting article this month onCLK55 AMG. Their conclusion is the CLK500 is close enough that the AMG version does not warrant the extra $18k. Go for it!
