Hi my 2002 with 117k miles has battery drainage problems . Took it to dealer a month ago and they said I needed a new voltage regulator and alternator. Had my mechanic install both.( BTW 3 months ago I had already replaced the battery) . The battery drains only if I don't drive it for 18 hours or more...so if I park it at 3pm the next morning the battery is dead.So AAA and friends are tired of jump starting my car. 2 days ago my mechanic said it was the battery so had him replace the battery. This morning the battery was dead again.I have a new battery, new voltage reg,new alternator.....obviously their is a drain somewhere.I bought the car with 86k mileage. The first year from 86k to 105 k miles everything was fine
PS dealer said I may have to replace seat module but my year isn't known for that according to my mechanic of 5 years. He works on Mercedes,BMW's Porches etc.
checked and said no.....I have read on this forum about the seat module replacement sometimes works sometimes not $1000 each for the seat module with no promise of solution so....I've owned many cars over the years that I have put 200,000 miles on with no major problems but this is very frustrating because I'm in outside sales and drive my car a lot. Does anyone out there have any ideas or experience with a model similar to my year 2002 430 clk? HELP!!!! PLEASE!!!!!
