Hi, anyone out there who can suggest a course of action for me please? I have A170 CDI auto 2002 model bought for my wife few months ago. The automatic gear box infrequently cuts out when driving showing the sign F on the dash. The power dissapears, quite dangerous if you are in the middle of a roundabout. Switch the ignition off, restart again, then it is ok. Is this a major fault in the gear box or is it something to do with electronic control. In any case do you think it is very costly to repair?...PLEASE HELP as I can't afford a huge repair bill....Thanks
