We are tempted to buy a new diesel A180 but are a bit worried about the fuel economy. What have been others ownership experiences of this model??

 

I have a C220 diesel estate auto (2006), fuel economy is really poor compared to what I am used to. Take what the MB sales literature tell you and half it. Dont buy an auto unless you have a leg missing as the auto box seams to be the root of the problem. If you want a car with really good efficiency then buy a modern VW golf from Germany and pretend it is a merc. My friend has one which regularly achieves 55mpg (thats british gallons), I think that would be 46mpg (US gallons). Sorry to be negative. Gary (UK).
