Sleepwalker - Advice Please!
Hi All.
I have just bought back my CL500 (2003 W215)back from the insurance company after they 'totalled' it off after the big flodds here in the UK!
The water had got high as the seat base, and subsequently few things DO not work!
The car now drives fine and only has 3 issues, but i now need some guidance!
The Rear windows do not work! (module? where is this located)
The Central locking does not operate - when you press the fob, the system arms, but no pump, and subsequently the soft close aid does not work (VACUUM)?
and finally there is a RED SRS light on display and on command says (RESTR SYSTEM MALFUNCTION) - I think it could be the module
Plugged it into STAR, and communication to these components is non-existent.
Please help if you can!
Thanks
Nik

RE: Sleepwalker - Advice Please!
there are so many electrical components under the seats and under the carpets and in the trunk that the problem could be anything. On a benz all these components "talk" to one another and can be a nightmare to pinpoint the faulty parts. Good luck!

i know its a long time since you posted but i bought one of those flood victims a 2002 cl500 flooded up to the seat base as well you basically need to get one that is scraped & replace every module & clean every plug connector meticulously & hey presto a cracker of a car for a fraction of the price but a serious labour of love
