after my abs light went on and seeing lots of hydrolic loss in driveway, my mechanic says i need to spend $1200 to replace it, any suggestions thank you.

 

Ya check take the pump apart and check for a seal taht is broken. happened to another hydraulik part on my suspension. 600 for a part. but the seal was just 50 cents,.

 

very difficult to do and very very messy, the nuts and bolts are very hard to access and you will need MB computer to properly flush and operate the suspension to remove air and possible dirt from the system, you also will need MB computer to see the system pressure when filling the tandem pump. it is not a job that you can do at home or even an independant for that matter. you will also need about 10 quarts of MB hydraulic fluid to replenish and purge the tandem pump then you will need to set the ride height with the MB computer. Take it to a dealer.
