Default which CL?

I'm thinking seriously about upgrading from my 2002 Clk 430 to a CL 500 or 55. I planned on waiting for the new body style to come out to get a better selection and price. Any thoughts? I was hoping to get a car that I would be happy with for several years. I really like the upgraded in dash CD changer and navigation. I cannot seem to find any performance numbers on the CL 500. Can anyone help me out with some stats? Any suggestions or input on my plans?

Expert Rating
Advantages of the 2006 Mercedes-Benz CL-Class:
A rolling showcase of Mercedes-Benz technology
Refined powertrains
Ultra-luxurious interior

Objections to the 2006 Mercedes-Benz CL-Class:
Small rear seats and trunk for such a big coupe
Confusing control layout

Have you reached a point in your life where you just don't need four doors or a large back seat, but you still appreciate and desire a sophisticated machine that will swathe you in luxurious comfort and surround you with the latest technology? Do you want a sleek, sporting, exclusive automobile without having to give up creature comforts? Welcome to the 2006 Mercedes-Benz CL-Class, an ultra-luxury sport coupe that will tantalize your senses, coddle you in constant comfort, and let everyone at the country club know that you have arrived in style. Those interested in keeping their motoring collection fresh, however, might be put off by the fact that 2006 marks the seventh year for the current CL design. Aston Martin's new DB9 would be an interesting alternative to the CL600.

just purchased a new 2006 CL500. have had a couple of the 500 engines and the power is good, the AMG would just keep me in trouble. The current brochure has some performance figures, 0-60 in 6.1 if I remember right. M-B has some money back on these cars and I made a fantastic deal.
