I am looking to purchase soon a 2003 - 2006 CL55 or CL600. I want the power. I am leaning to the Supercharged V8 over the Bi-Turbo charged V12. From those of you who have owned either, which is the better car to have based on maintenance problems. From reading the posts, the ABC system can go out in any of the W215 Chasis. Are there other large issues other than the Coil packs between the Supercharged V8 and the Bi-Turbo charged V12. I will probably keep it for a while.

Honestly...stay clear of both...the ABC system is junk...MB service departments have no idea how to fix them and will charge you to fiddle.....plus the car losses value in every minute it sits

 

i have a 2004 cl600 and absolutely love it. it is super powerful and extremely quiet!! people think it is an electric car and can't believe the pick up. mileage isn't bad either about 15 around town and 25 on the hwghy. word of advice make sure you get a good maintenance contract!!!! the alternator rebuitly is $1200 plus 5 hrs installation. i had a problem with the abc system and tire pressure monitor. my deductible was $200 and the repairs were $5000 at the dealer. the warranty covered everything except $200. i have a chrysler warranty. p.s. i believe some of the repairs on the 55 amg are a lot more expensive ie. brakes.
