ive been having some problems with the dirvers wondows, the problem is when i press the switch the window only goes down little by little and the same with pressing the switch up it goes up little by little. I try to reprogram and nothing happens then some times the window works normaly

 

Disconnect the negative terminal of your battery. Wait about a minute then reconect. Then normalize windows. Make sure doors are closed. Turn steering wheel from lock to lock. Hold window switch till window goes all the way down and hold for a couple of seconds. then do the same while closing the window.

 

Try taking the window all the way up, with the button half way pressed, as if you want to do it manually, until it's all the way up.
Then, hold the button all the way up as if you want auto close, and hold it there for 5 seconds or more.
Do the same at the bottom position reversing the direction.
That should reset the window to work automatically as I remeber having to do in my 2001 C240. Yours may be different.

BTW, I would not disconnect the battery. The last time I did that I ended up at the dealership. See my other posts.

 

what's with all these people afraid of disconecting there battery. as long as you follow standard normalization procedures there is no problems. tabourj what happened when you disconnected the battery?

there's a hall sensor in the motor that detects window position. try disconnecting the battery. if your afraid about disconnecting your battery than take it to a dealership. you may need a new window motor anyway.

 

the wird thing is that some times it works and some times it dosent o and by the way the problem started when my car was sitted for a month with out the battery

 

I have a 98 c230 and have the same problem. Back in May the window wouldn't work then it went away. No changes to my battery or car. Just had battery replaced this week and now all 4 windows have the problem, plus my sunroof switch works backwards - this happens periodically with no intervention or changes on my part. How does your sunroof respond?

 

all of my windows are working fine i think the problem in my case is the glass support

 

I have another electrical problem which has meant I have had to disconnect the battery dozens of times, all without any problems. Each time the windows and sun roof have to be reinitialised, either by using the infra red remote or has been said holding the window button up on down until you hear the relay click, same with sun roof.
