Default will bigger engine fit?

Car is a 2.3L1997 C230 kompressor, but wanna put a bigger engine in it as mine has died . Was thinking ofthe 3.6L from the C36 which is thesame shape car, but will it fit? If not what will?

Please Help, thanks.

I dont see why it wouldnt fit. I would first talk to a indeshop or dealer who knows best. Are there any near you?

yeah there isa dealershipup thestreet and a specialist inclowne in chesterfieldthat i know of. hope it does would be nice to have more power.

you need to get the engine harness and the engine control module. and you might need the transmission from the C36. actually the trans might be ok but the rear diff is most definatly differnt so you will have differnt low end and top end and maybe shifing issues.the exhaustmight bedifferent to. youll have a bunch of issues i would imagine. fuel lines, vacuum lines and hoses, electrical issues too. plus youll need to get a few things version coded and changed in the control units. but this is all just guessing ofcourse. but you will run into some frustrating issues im sure.
