I have a 95 c220, which I let my wife drive, as I rather drive my LS 400 Lexus. Anyway, it seems that now everymorning when she starts the car, there is a whining- like wind tunnel noise, that last for about 5 to 10 seconds, then just goes away. The noise is coming from the engine compartment, and is very noticeable. Does not seem to do it once the car is warm and restarted. Is there a vacum pump or some other type of "pump", fan, that will make this temporary noise? It is not the auxillary fan. Thanks for your input.
