Cool Whiney Noise

What is the strange whiney noise that I get when I turn either right or left. Sounds like a circular saw!! Comes from the front wheels I think. No noise when im driving straight. When I am parked I can get the noise a little bit if I turn the steering wheel. As well as this, when I brake the stearing wheel vibrates, wonder is it related to the noise. Thanks for your help.

When the steering wheel shakes during braking it's usually warped front brake rotors. The circular saw sound sounds like brakes dragging also, perhaps something is making it drag when you turn.

Whiney Noise

There are only two things that will cause this problem:
1-Warped front rotors
2-Damaged front wheel bearings

Solution:
For 1-Check your brakes to see if they are worn and hitting against the rotors.
For 2 -Jack the car up so that the front tires are off the ground. Grab one of the front tires with both hands (like you are going to remove it), now push it from side to side using both hands. If you get play (wabble), then the wheel bearing is damaged.

Hope this helps.

When you're turning the steering wheel when the car is not in motion sounds like it's coming from the power steering either low on fluid or a bad pump.
