Is there anything special you are supposed to do to get the gate to open up for reverse on an '06 C230? It takes a little bit of work to find reverse on this car- seems like if I move the shifter all the way to the right first- then reverse- it goes right in? I know some cars have some sort of lockout to keep you from going into reverse on accident- didn't know if this car was the same way? I have yet to find a common demoninator in how I always end up getting reverse. Is there a secret handshake I need to learn or a special club to join?

i don't know if it is or not. i just got the car and there was no manual in it. i am in the process of trying to track that down. any place that you all know of that i can download a pdf version or anything like that?
