Travis at PowerChips is really trying to sell me on it, but I'm not sure since I can get Bosch locally to custom tune for a little more.

I've also been checking out powerchipgroup. Seems pretty reasonably priced and the statistics are great. I have a 2007 C230 sport, which would jump from 201 to 221 HP, and 181 to 199 ft/lb torque for $690. Hoping that this is all legitimate information I'd go with it. I've never heard of it until now, still skeptical.

I'm equally skeptical. I've heard they reprogram your ECU beyond the parameters of the engine and can cause irriversable damage over time. I've got a Bosch service center in my town and they are able to remap my ECU for most power gains with my bolt-on mods taken into consideration yet still keep the tune safely within the engine's parameters to avoid longterm damage. They (Bosch) claims the power gains are comparable for around the same price. I emailed Travis at PowerChips this concern but have yet hear back.

PowerChipsGroup and Bosch are all I've found for the C240 2.6L so far. Bosch seems to be the safest route since they'll stay within the engine's parameters. My Mercedes mechanic utilizes Mercedes tuning software and is looking in to the best remapping options too. We'll see.
