I was wondering what is this for and why in it there. Click on attachment to see the spot i'm taking about. It is located above the rear view mirror

Sensor for the climate control I think? I have one also on my C280 and that is what I always thought it was for. Back in the 70'/s when Mercedes first came out with climate control they put them on the dash board.

ON some Hondas, this location is for the centrol lock remote control sensor. Maybe its the same here I'm not sure though.

It is for the climate control. My owner's manual states to not point the center vents all the way up because the air will hit the sensor and cause the climate control to not function properly.
