Orig. owner, 65,000 miles and the slightest bump causes audible clunking in front suspension. I saw a comment in an Ebay ad stating "we repaired the known front suspension defect in this car", but I don't know what to replace/repair on my car. I do not yet have the Mercedes service/repairs/ CD for the car but will order it soon.

I came on here to figure that out too! i have an 04 C240 and i believe my rear suspension makes that clunk noise. hmmmmmm

 

Suggest you do a search under 'suspension'. There are a number of posts about this topic under C Class headings. My own 02 C230 coupe experienced this same problem and had virtually the entire suspension replaced over a period of time. The final fix for me was new brake rotors. I believe another owner had a bent wheel. The suspension is very sensitive.
Check out the posts from 01-07-2009 and 10-02-2008 when you do the search. There may be something useful for you.
