can anyone tell me where the fuel pressure regulator for 1997 c230 is at? how to take it off?

 

Fuel pressure regulator is located on the top of the engine, close to the oil cup on right side. If you still can not find it, go to the web site that sell MB parts, click on part you need and you gonna see the picture how the part look like.
Before you change fuel pressure regulator you need to depressurise the fuel system./remove fuel tank cup to release any pressure/vacuum in the tank./
Disconnect the vacuum hose from the port on the fuel pressure regulator.
Using a pair of circlip pliers, remove the large diameter circlip and withdraw the pressure
regulator from its housing. If necessary, use a screwdriver inserted through the aperture in the side of the regulator to release it. Be prepared for some fuel leakage.
Recover the large and small O-ring seals.
Refitting is reversal of removal.
