Hi folk,
I'm new on this forum : I bought my first Mercedes 3 months ago. My car has a strange behavior : it pulls to the right and the steering wheel is 5 degrees to the right.
I brought my car to the Mercedes workshop. MB did some setups but the result is exactly the same. The workshop manager told me that this behavior is "normal" because the Mercedes cars are adjusted like at the factory to prevent collision if the driver nods off.
What do you think about ? All Class C do the same thing ?
Thank a lot.

Absolutely no true. If that was a mechanic at a MB dealership, I would report them to MBUSA.com. Have the front end wheels checked for alignment, wheels balanced. Are the wheels stock? Do you know if the was in an accident? Worse case is the chassis is bent.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I'm in France. My Classe C is almost new. This behavior has occurred in the first kilometers (or miles ;-) ).
The wheels are stock and the chassis has never been damaged.
I mean, I will write a letter to MB France.
Regards,
Matro

Check tyre pressures on front tyres. If one tyre is 5psi low then it will fail a UK brake test on "inbalance" i.e. it will pull to one side under braking. I would then swap the front tyres from one side to the other to see if the problem moves or stays. I would then take the car for a long drive (10km) on a road using minimal breaking, gently pull over and feel the temperature of the front disks by putting your fingers through the wheel spokes or feeling around the back, they should both be cool and of similar temperature. If for some reason one brake caliper is not comming off properly it will pull to that side and that disk will be warmer.
Hope that helps. Gary (UK).
