w203 Instrument Pack
Hi, Lugnut / Sleepwalker.
Ever heard of a problem with w203 2000m/y instrument pack that might cause it to suddenly stop working. All functions I am advised! Problem occurred whilst vehicle was with MB dealer sprayshop (sub contract). The sprayshop changed the front RH (Drivers in UK) wing/fender. No welding, powertools or bake oven were used. MB dealer charged sprayshop £800 for a new unit. Interestingly the MB dealer was unable to return the "faulty" unit to the spray shop.
Any ideas. I haven't got any info on w203. Thanks

no any similar case to such problem.
first we need to know if that cluster was damaged by some way (burnt pcv, over voltage, etc.). maybe it's just a fuse problem.
the design of that cluster is simple except for the CAN interface which can be sensitive to voltage.
you need to get hold of the old one and have it check.
