w203 Eng 271 Cam Magnet replacement
Can anyone offer advice on replacement of cam magnets. I have the MB instructional sheet and it shows the magnet as having an o-ring seal being used, while others posts mentioned using a flange sealant.
Are both the o-ring and sealant used on my model 2005 C230 Kompressor?
Cam Magnets are MB p/n 271 051 01 77
Flange Sealant is MB p/n 002 989 00 20
Any specific instruction as to the reassembly of the magnets is greatly appreciated. FYI the MB instruction sheet is AR05.20-P-7295PK and it calls for inserting a 6.0 mm drill to ensure the magnet is centered properly.
