Default VERY BAD C Reviews..Why ?

Hi
I really want to get a C car, after having an Audi and countless problems, I am looking for a luxurious but reliable second hand car. I was thinking about a C 2002 or 2003. However, as I was checking reviews I found the site below and the reviews really scared me off.

http://www.mercedes-benz-usa.com/c_class.php

Among a lot of others...from what I have read MBZ has lost a lot in terms of reliability.

Any comments ?

Thanks

Yeah pretty scary stuff there but before I purchased my 2005 C230K I did alot of research. My research pretty much steered me to 2005 and up from all the reveiws. SImple fact is that alot of people purchase thinking the MB isproblem freebecause of the price and name but like everything else they have issues as well. Myself coming from a Honda/Acura world they had issues as well but just not as costly to repair. My wifes Ford Mustang was a money pit of issues so this 2005 C230K is like Disneyworld Warranty can be your best friend Lastly really consider whome you decide to purchase from. If you purchase from a Pot Shop car lot then you will have to expect baggage so keep this in mind.

If you get one from a dealer have them pull up the service records and see what has been changed out already. They do have there tipical problems but once resolved they are great cars

First. Dont belive everything you see and hear. Use critical thinking and do research on other cars too. BMW, HONDA, GM, FORD ANY CARYou want and you will find many reviews like that on any of these cars. Dont narrow mind your self to just a consumer report. Talk to people who are in the ownership expeience in person or on an actually forum because they know the product best. I have herd many people say after getting a bad Honda or Toyota or Ford or whatever carsay "Im never buying a ...... every again and the next year they are driving the same car just newer or differnt model and fall right in love with it. As far as this C Class goes. Get one that has full service history and a warrenty from trusty dealer or private party. Dont buy salvage or bad title unless you know the car and DIY reparis. Get low miles and good condition. Reason for condition is beacuse if they didnt take care of the interior/exterior they probably did not mechanically take care of it either.

Well it depends on how much driving you do? Is your primary car? If its your only/primary car then try and find something under 50k if possible. My 02E32O has 77k on it. thats below average

Well, it is my primary car, however on a daily basis I only drive a max of 50km...every once per month around 300 km...When you said below 50 000 you meant miles or kilometers ?

What a coincidence I am half Lebanese. I have never been there, but looking to go sometime. Smallworld. I would try and find something under 50,000 miles or try and find a 2003 with similar miles.
