I went to autozone first for my 2002 c230 but the alternator they gave me turned out to be a lemon. When I returned it and requested a new one (hoorah for warrantys) the one they gave me was the wrong model. I decided to cut ties with autozone completely (at least when I'm looking for alternators) and ended up getting a factory renewed one from the dealer (also comes with a lifetime warranty), for a few hundred more.
