Turn off the Speed Control Volume on radio
On my 2000 C280 and 2002 E320 i have the "speed control volume"because i find it extremly annoying. The other day i was driving with mygirlfriend in the C280 and the radio was on about the5th knotch and when i got on the highway and was doing about 60mph the music was blasting in our ears.The radios lookthe ame anddoes anyone know how i can dissable it on both my cars? Do i need a dealer or independent or can i do it myself? Thank you

you will have to go into the radio and change the version coding. Unless you have an SDS, you may not be able to to it. Version coding can be changed to either lower the amount of volume increase or to turn it off completely

at my dealer we do it for free, but it does depend on the tech and the service advisor also. I dont charge to do it because its just a courtesy thing.
